Coming of age film about a young graffiti artist who, after a violent encounter with private security, is swept into a parallel universe he creates through his art.
We are looking for REAL HIP-HOP HEADS that understand the culture and lifestyle of graffiti.You could be a skateboarder,BMXer,B-boy/girl etc. and obviously a graf artist too.
SEEKING CHARACTORS TO PLAY THE ROLE OF:
CREW MEMBER #1, MALE, +- 21yrs old* BIPOC South African, leader of the Writers Bloc crew, an impulsive graffiti artist who is asthmatic and a hustler of the city
CREW MEMBER #2 MALE,
+- 21yrs old
* BIPOC South African trendy, tech-savvy art student with charm who loves socializing and his crew
CREW MEMBER #3 FEMALE,
+- 21yrs old
* BIPOC South African, radical and politically astute art student, graffiti style, Arabic calligraphy
CREW MEMBER #4, MALE
+- 17yrs old
* BIPOC East African, scrawny and youngest member of the crew trying to solidify his spot.
*ACTORS CAN BE OLDER OR YOUNGER THAN CHARACTER AGE
BIPOC (BLACK, INDIGENOUS AND/OR PERSON OF COLOR)
Shoot dates: proposed for June-Sept 2022.
Artist day fees range from R5 000 – R7 000 depending on role and skill set.(To be negotiated)
